Mark Neeleman, Azul Brazilian Airlines co-founder will be on stage at Hubfest Netherlands

FindBrazil will be participating in the Hubfest on September 20 and 21, an event organized by The Hague Tech, which is an ecosystem of innovation and technology located in the heart of the city of The Hague. The innovation center has hundreds of companies and projects and has played an important role in the sector.

The official opening of Hubfest will be inaugurated by Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau of The Netherlands. As Special Envoy of StartupDelta, he is appointed by the Netherlands Government to make The Netherlands the European epicenter of innovation.

The Hague Tech

The event will be the stage for accelerators, startups, investors, innovation centers and all that are part of the innovation ecosystem. One of the guests is Ali Niknam, funder and CEO of bunq, is the youngest banking director in The Netherlands. He will sharing his ideology steered by freedom, imagining new practices and institutions. Other great speaker will be Hans Ober, currently in the Forbes’ 30 under 30 Europe-list, is co-founder and CEO of TicketSwap. TicketSwap is on a journey becoming the world’s favorite platform, with nearly 3 million registered users across the world.

Other great case will be shared by Bart de Liefde, from Bird. This electric scooter startup company has been around for a little over a year and operates in more than 30 cities. As of june, Tech Crunch reported that Bird had raised upward of $300 million from various venture capital firms, including Accel, Greycroft and Sound Ventures. Today, Ashton Kutcher who has invested in Bird, expressed his frustration around the regulations that limit the startup the same way as has been with Uber and AirBnB. According to Kutcher: “It’s just gonna be a better world if this takes off and works”.

On Friday, Mark Neeleman, who is part of FindBrazil, will be talking about business opportunities for Dutch companies in Brazil. Mark Neeleman is an American serial entrepreneur that had his first experience in the innovation ecosystem at the age of 18 in Silicon Valley. Today, he is the co-founder of Azul Airlines and Vigzul, a surveillance and automation company, both leaders in their category in Brazil. He is also part of Borboleta, an American company in the beauty industry. As a board member of FindBrazil, a Brazilian network of entrepreneurs that assist foreign companies to access the Brazilian market, he loves to share his ideas with entrepreneurs and startups around the globe.

“The event is an excellent opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs from various countries. We will be sharing with the public the opportunities available in the Brazilian technology and innovation sector, which are still unknown to many.
